Beading Classes

Enjoy personal, knowledgeable and fun instruction in our dedicated classroom.

Classes are limited to 6 students and taught by Joyce (except for PMC and Chainmaille).

Basic Stringing - $20+$8 Materials (Includes Beading Publication)

An Introduction to the World of Beading. Learn how to use the various tools needed to make jewelry along with learning the components of bracelets, necklaces and earrings.

Getting a feel for wire. Learn various wiring techniques that include: coiling, looping and linking. Practice using the necessary tools.

Bead Weaving - $30 + Kit

Learn a stitch or make a beautiful project using patterns by Deborah Roberti (www.aroundthebeadingtable.com). Kits available to keep bead selection easy. See below for cost of kits. Ask staff for material requirements for stitch classes or if you would like to use your own beads with the projects.

Pearl Knotting - $25 + $5 Materials (beading publication included)

Learn to knot bead cord by practicing with czech fire polish beads. Three techniques will be shown using an awl, tweezer and a tri-cord tool.

Fine Silver Workshops (PMC)

All classes will be taught using PMC which is finely powdered silver mixed with an organic binder and water. PMC can be worked just like clay. It is fired in a kiln, which burns off the binder and leaves .999% fine silver!

Classes are taught by Mary Alexander and Elisabeth Mahnken of ME Designs (PMC Certified Level I & II and Art Clay Certified). All necessary tools will be available for use during the time of class. Some projects will be fired after class and returned to the store for pick up.

You will be building a hollow birdhouse with a roof and embellish it with clay adornments and cubic zirconium. Some experience is preferable for this class. Bring a snack to share.

Flower Link Bracelet- Friday, April 16 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. - $45.00 (Plus Materials)

In this class you will be making links with flower patterns to create a link bracelet. The links may be decorated with cubic zirconium and syringe work. All levels welcome.

Bird Pendant with Riveted Moveable Legs- Part 1: Friday, May 14 5:30 - 7:30 p.m., Part 2: Friday, May 21 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. - $55.00 (Plus Materials)

In the first part of this class we will be making a flat bird body and legs. In the second part you will be assembling your legs to the body using small rivets. All levels welcome.

Ornament Projects

Start getting ready for the holidays by taking a class to make an ornament using patterns by Deb Moffett-Hall.

Bring a favorite photo that you would like to make into a pendant, and we will have the supplies - from the TierraCast Picture Frame to the clear protectant.
